I ♥ Faces for Jan 18th

This week at I ♥ Faces, the theme for their weekly challenge is Family. Here is my entry, two of my kids with their grandpa and cousin ... out for a ride with the sled dogs. Their grandpa (my dad) is a great winter outdoorsman. He loves to get his grandkids out in to the woods, the wild, the snow with him ... and they love to be there with him. Its a blessing both ways!

Spring in MN!

Yes it is spring, but this is what it looks like outside our window today. Its beautiful! But then again beach weather would be beautiful too.

Wordless Wednesday - beach then snow

We arrived home in MN on Sat. afternoon and by Sunday evening it was snowing and snowed all day Monday. Kids were plaing in the waves on Friday in Hawaii, but playing in the snow on Monday!

Wordless Wednesday - Kids can ski!

My sister and my dad took her kids and my kids to ski in the "miniloppet" a kids race the day before the Vasaloppet.

Haiku Friday

Beautiful snow
Softly falling on our yard
A blanket of white

Its clean fresh and new
Kids see possibilities
Of all they can do

Sledding down our hill,
Or a long ski with Papa,
Or a fort of snow

Oh what will they do
Hours of fun in new snow
Chills fingers and toes

In they come to thaw
Seeking warm coca and quilts
With stories of snow
