Isaiah 43:18-19

A wonderful new person in our life shared this verse with me today and told me she will be praying it for me:

Isaiah 43:18-19

18 Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.

19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.

I am so touched by her! Her heart for the Lord shines so bright and she has such a gift for encouraging! We are greatfl to know her and her family.

The Bloom Book Club

How exciting to be joining The Bloom Book Club once again for a fantastic book and thoughtful discussions.

Join us on the Ning site to discuss the first 99 pages of Same Kind Of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore.

Here are some questions being discussed on the Ning site:

How did Denver's story impact you? Did it shock you?

Do you ever have the urge to do something, but for some reason you don't, like Ron did on page 23? How does that make you feel when you think about that?

What stood out to you about Deborah?

How has someone forgiving you made an impact on your life?

In what ways are we choosing to lead a radical, crazy love life like Deborah lived?

This week, we want to encourage you to pray for people by name like Deborah did for the people she served at the homeless shelter.

Please join us in answering these questions and sharing this book with those in your life.

I ♥ Faces for Jan 18th

This week at I ♥ Faces, the theme for their weekly challenge is Family. Here is my entry, two of my kids with their grandpa and cousin ... out for a ride with the sled dogs. Their grandpa (my dad) is a great winter outdoorsman. He loves to get his grandkids out in to the woods, the wild, the snow with him ... and they love to be there with him. Its a blessing both ways!

Happy New Year! Cards are still in progress

Yes I know we are a bit past Christmas, but not that far really. I had great intentions to get cards out before the new year ... especially since we moved this summer ... but here we are Jan 9th and we are still printing, stamping and licking. Good thing we have the kids to help us get through all the cards

These are hitting the mail box first thing Monday morning! Email me if you would like me to send you one.
