I ♥ Faces for April 28th ~ Reflection

Any photographer (Beginner, Amateur and Professional) is welcome to join in the I ♥ Faces weekly photo challenges (you can enter one photo for each category.) Photos can be entered on Mon or Tues until they close down the challenges around 9:00 p.m. Winning photos are displayed on Saturday

Here’s the deal for this week’s theme, Reflection …
To be considered as a winner for this week's challenge, your photo needs to have a reflection of a face in it (Kids - a child's face; Adults - an adult's face.) Be creative ~ the reflection can be in a mirror, glass, water....or any other way you can think of to show a reflection of the beautiful face you photograph!

My kids entry was taken today while we waited in a school parking lot for the big kids we were picking up. Mary was most happy to be 'freed' from her carseat (which she hates) and had lots of fun looking at herself in the mirrors

And my adult entry was taken at the same time, waiting in the school parking lot. Its just one of those reasons I carry a camera in my diaper bag ... I can capture cute moments like these

"You Are Good"

I've been more than extreemly touched and inspired by another blogging mama recently, but I'm sure all of you have, too. If you have not visited MckMamas blog, My Charming Kids, you really should head over there for a good read.

I also purchased a new lullabies cd recently ... due to teething and ear infection in our littlest. I highly recommend every mom own a copy! I think I'll be stocking up to give them away as baby shower gifts, its titled Sing Over Me. Mary and I have spent many late night hours pacing and swaying to this music already. Tonight as we listened to it again I thought of how one of the songs reminds me so much of the steadfast faith I've seem expressed by my blogging friend MckMama. Below is a video and recording to You Are Good:

MckMama, so sorry for the trials you have been facing but wanted to thank you for the way you have chosen to trust and obey our great God! Well Done!

Faith Hope and Lullabies

We have had great need for calming music lately, its been a long winter of illnesses, and I have honestly invested in several lullaby cds out of desperation. Any mom who has paced and rocked, paced and rocked, and paced and rocked with a sad little one during wee hours of the morning day after day after day will know the desperation I am talking about. Praise the Lord we are getting back to healthy and we have found a new favorite place to listen to Lullabies:

Faith, Hope & Lullabies

I hope you will go visit Faith Hope and Lullabies at their website. If you are in need of calming lullaby music, here is your chance! Or stock up on cds to give away as baby shower gifts, I can't think of a better gift!

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

Well, I guess Thankful Thursday on Friday will have to do.
Its been a very long week! And boy do I need to focus on all that I have to be thankful for! So here it is:

1)My Lord and Savior! That he loves me ... me? ... me ...
...insane, imperfect, impetuous me.

2)God's Word, how blessed I am to have, not just one, but
many copies of the Holy Bible!

3)God's plan to answer the many many prayers for Sweet Little Stellan and his family. The wonderful doctor and hospital that will help heal his little heart.

4) The beautiful, healthy, strong, determined, energetic, wild and crazy bunch of kiddos that the Lord has bless me and dh with! Oh goodness the exhaustion I feel some days, and then pray I would remember to be thankful, oh so thankful for that type of exhaustion.

5)And even in the midst of all our chaos and craziness, I'm thankful I have a nursling who calls me to sit and nurse. Someone once told me that a nursing baby is God's way of slowing down a mom of many ... oh so true. She needs me, she needs my milk, she needs me to sit and hold her close. She is fed, she is satisfied and I get a few minutes of calm and almost quite to rest and recollect my harried thoughts

Oh can I add one more ... sure I can:
6) LUNCH! This is what my dd cooked us for lunch today
MMMMMM ... mmmm ... good!
