sick kids ... no fun, but sick mom is even worse

naptime

soup ... ahhh warm soup

grey jogging pants and red shirt

nothing extra ... no extra energy today

I am going...
to take our eldest son to the Dr.

I am reading...
lots of emails and blogs I'm trying to get caught up on

I am hoping...
for speedy recovery for the myself and the kids

I am hearing...
my poor baby snore as she sleeps on my lap

total disaster, what a mess!!!

Outside My Window...
Its snowing!!!

I am thinking...
I'm cold, but the wht covering everything is so pretty

I am thankful for...
My kiddos, my hubby and extended family so near by.
They make family events like Birthdays and Thanksgiving so much fun

From the kitchen...
Chicken and cheese tortillas tonight
might make some carmel rolls for tomorrow morning ... this cold weather really kicks my sweet tooth into high gear!

I am wearing...
jogging pants and sweatshirt and my wool socks

I am creating...
Christmas cards

I am going...
to go pick up ds from gymnastics practice in about half an hour, should be fun ... roads look slippery and the snow is still coming down

I am reading...
Only whats necessary for school these days

I am hoping...
my hubby has a few days off over Christmas

I am hearing...
kiddos playing with legos

Around the house...
Hubby and one dc sleeping
one dc at gymnastics practice
others playing with legos
I'm online for a few minutes before i need to leave

From the schoolroom...
We've enjoyed a few new lapbooks.
Still feeling a bit behind, but catching up

Pretty Christmas lights, on trees and houses ... just looks so festive

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
Dh birthday is tomorrow (Tues) and we usually try to put our Christmas tree on his birthday, so the kids are really looking forward to that

Outside My Window...
Its cold enough to snow

I am thinking...
What a mess this house is (sigh)

I am thankful for...
My messy house, because it is ours and we have 5 wonderful kids to mess it up


From the kitchen...
Coldcuts and cheese on french bread sandwiches and fruit for dinner tonight

I am wearing...
Jogging pants and a t-shirt ... took the kids to open gym earlier today

I am creating...
a knit little hat for Mary, its mostly orange with a little green top to look like a pumpkin

I am going...
CRAZY ... from looking at houses for sale and plans from builders ... really need to make a decision what we are going to do one of these days

I am reading... La Dolce Vida and other favorite blogs

I am hoping...
To honor and please God as I walk through my day

I am hearing...
My giggly 5 month old, playing with her 13 year old big sister ... what a wonderful noise

Around the house...
TOYS and LEGOSS and SHOES and LAUNDRY!!!
AHHHH ... its everywhere and its taking over

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
Still trying to decide if we buy or build a new home, seeing a few more houses for sale and meeting with two different builders this week. One child has gymnastics three days this week, we all will eat dinner at church on Wed evening, one has choir practice on Wed., one has a harp lesson Thurs. and a horseback riding lesson on Fri. My 13 year old dd would like to go get her hair cut, go to try squeeze that in.

Cold and windy but sunny today

I am thinking...
I have so much to be thankful for and so many to pray for

I am thankful for...
the Love of my Savior
my beautiful children,
my warm home,
our kind and involved grandparents

From the kitchen...
My mom took us out to lunch today, I had pasta with tomatoes, spinach and artichoke


I am wearing...
Jeans, a t-shirt and a sweater

I am creating...
Fall cards, but only a few and only late at night after the kids are asleep and I'm waiting up for dh to get home from work sometime around midnight

I am going...
To enjoy a bonfire at my parents house tomorrow night

I am reading...
Streams in the Desert
(recommended by a friend battling cancer)

I am hoping...
For my friend's full recover

I am hearing...
My dd working on school work on her computer and the boys building with legos, baby is napping

Around the house...
Man! Do we need a fall cleaning day!

About which builder we should work with to build our new house ...
we need to make that decision soon

The opportunity we have to build a new house

All the decisions in building a new house don't drive me certifiably insane
(honestly it would be a very short drive)

Outside my Window... I see stars up above, the street light and neighbors porch light. I hear the occasioanl car driving by and I hear crickets

I am thinking... too much, probably way over analyzing events of the day

From the learning rooms... Are we ready for school tomorrow? Wish I knew

I am thankful for... family time together

From the kitchen... leftovers from the big birthday party

I am wearing... grey shorts, and pj t-shirt

I am reading... blogs

I am hoping... to get some schooling accomplished tomorrow, while nursnig this ever hungery baby ;-)

I am creating... my blog post

I am hearing... my computer and occasional tossing in his sleep two year old

Around the house... its quiet and dark ... its 1 am, kids are asleep and I suppose I should be too, but its hard to sleep when my hubby is at work

One of my favorite things... hugs and kisses from my kiddos

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week... Not making much in the way of plans these days. Still trying to get used to one more in the family, she is 13 weeks old ... but my head is still spinning. Dh is on a late shift, makes evenings and bedtimes a terrible experience.
