Bloggy Giveaway Carnival!

Photobucket

OK, I love these Bloggy Giveaways, but I've never been brave enough to do one of the giveaways. I'm just not the most online savvy person :) But I came up with a good reason to offer a giveaway this time around. We love BOZ the Bear over here and we are going to giveaway two never opened DVDs. To learn more about BOZ please goto: www.bozthebear.com

Its a great series of DVDs for the 2-6 year olds, although all my kids enjoy them :)
And we need help playing the baby name game ... how fun is that?

So to enter:

1. Leave a comment here at this post and help us with a the "baby name game" We know we are expecting a baby girl and we are certain we will be using the name Mary. Just not sure if it will be her first name or middle name. So please leave me a suggestion for names that go good with Mary.

2. A winner will be chosen using some fair, objective method (Isn’t there a website I can use?) at the end of the Superbowl on Sunday, February 3, 2008.

3. Winner will be contacted via email, so be sure you leave your email address either in your profile or on the comment itself. In the event that some one gives the wrong email address, another winner will be selected within 3 days.

4. Contest is open to bloggers and non-bloggers alike, but to U.S. residents only.

And be sure to check out other giveaways at the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival (just click on the button above)

So many great suggestions for names! Lets see.... I love Catherine Mary or Mary Catherine (could be because my confirmation name was Catherine!).

Also... maybe something like Cassandra.

I will be checking back to see what name you decide! When we thought we were having a girl we had the name picked out: Cassiopeia Star and we would call her Cassie. Then she turned into a he. So... maybe next time! LOL

My soon to be sister-in-law has the name Mary Aspen (first and second names). It is tradition in her family for women to have the first name Mary and go by her middle name. I have a cousin who goes by Mary Susan (both names) after mother and grandmother. I like both names!

Mary Elizabeth is my fav!

All of our children have biblical names, so I tend to think in that realm. Of course, it would need to sound nice with your last name, and I don't know that. :)

Mary Grace
Mary Joy
Mary Elizabeth
Mary Abigail (Abigail means "the father is joyful :) )

The name Mary does seem to sound especially nice with three-syllable middle names... to me, anyway. :)

I wouldn't personally choose Mary Jezebel because I believe the meaning of a name is VERY important and would want to point my child to the godly character in the Bible that we've named them after. :)

I also like the sound of Mary Katherine and Mary Melissa.

All that being said, I'm sure God will lead you to the perfect name for this new blessing.

You can do a google search on random number generators and you'll find something to pick the number for you.

I truly believe in the meanings of names, and Mary means bitter, so unless it is a family name, I would not use it. There are so many great names with Mary, though!
